A calling to all students of the New Message

to compile an index to Steps to Knowledge

Step 166: My mission is great. Therefore, I am free to do small things.

First, do what the Messenger does: make your own wiki. Make this your practice as you proceed through Steps to Knowledge.

Take note when you see something in a Step that gets your attention. Write it down in your Steps journal.

On your Review Step, mark that note with a word or so: what is about? What quality or activity? A key word? Name it.

Compile these key words (or short phrases) so they can be sorted alphabetically.

Check in with other students who are interested in contributing to the index to Steps to Knowledge to create one shared document for all (for wiki editors to consult).

A proposal to correct a major flaw in the wiki

to let it grow organically ("bottom-up," from our studenthood practice, rather than "top-down")

Encourage both kinds of edits, "casual" edits and "formal" edits

Casual edits--quotes with the name and date of the revelation-- are just fine! Put them right there on the page or make a new page if needed.

OR send great quotes to the Wiki editors on the Worldwide Community site.

OR add your quote with name and date of the revelation where you found it under the Discussion tab at the top of every page, if you would like another editor to follow up

Formal edits take practice. The formatting comes easily with repetition. There are simple ways to get enough practice to gain confidence.

Focus on one skill at a time, like cross-references or images or references.
