How to format category footer

PROBLEM I format the category footer but it doesn't show up in preview.

That is correct; it will appear after saving.

PROBLEM The category text is red, not blue,

though it's a letter-for-letter match with a category. I enter double opening brackets ([ x 2) the word "category" followed by colon and the designated category and double closing brackets; the footer is formed but the designated category doesn't link and the entry doesn't show up in that category.

How to add a note for editors' eyes only to an entry

use "less than" character, exclamation point, hyphen, hyphen--your comment-- followed by hyphen, hyphen, "greater than" character. Example below only visible in edit mode.
