  • On the Christianity page, the reference to The Lineage of the Messengers has an invalid date. Will?--Mary s 08:31, 24 September 2013 (PDT)
  • Test all links in "Further Study" sections to online teachings--remove the vertical line separating the website address from the title as it should appear--it is not needed for external links--Mary s 08:48, 30 September 2013 (PDT)
  • The Messenger: Make it the flagship page of the wiki. Streamline to put first and foremost aspects, first and foremost ... the essential understanding as near to the top as possible. --Mary s 22:41, 25 July 2013 (PDT)
  • Starting with the main corridors of the NM on the Main Page, organize all pages to flow from the most essential. Use sentences for headers (concise summaries, distillations of the essential teachings) to delineate the main ideas at a glance. The most concise quotes expressing the essence of the subject need NO headers; ideally the headers below will repeat the ideas in the quotes in the same order.--Mary s 22:41, 25 July 2013 (PDT)
  • Any sub-heading worth the subdivision indicates a heading that needs to be its own page, with a link replacing it on the original page. Example: The Messenger: Directives. --Mary s 22:41, 25 July 2013 (PDT)
  • Change references to "There Is a New Message from God in the World" chapters to remove reference to the book. They become stand-alone teachings with the date: April 11, 2001. For example, the Chapter Love and Fear would be cited as Love and Fear (April 11, 2001). --Will 19:37, 13 December 2011 (PST)
  • Change all instances of Mohammad, Mohammed and Muhammed to Muhammad for consistency. --Will 19:37, 13 December 2011 (PST)
  • Merge and redirect Relationships into Relationship --WikiAdmin 07:16, 14 December 2011 (PST)
  • Need content and See also for Spiritual practice.Once there's content, direct the home page "corridor" link to this page. --Will 07:49, 14 December 2011 (PST)

New Pages

  • See List of Wanted Pages but some of these links may just need to be sent to existing pages. -- 07:50, 14 December 2011 (PST)
  • Additional Wanted Pages:
    • Achievement
    • Uncertainty
    • Perseverance
    • Preference
    • Motivation
    • Deeper inclinations
    • Spiritual nature (as opposed to other uses of the word "nature"--nature and Design and Nature)
    • The Material World (for references about "the world" not about this planet but about living in separation in general--is "The Material World" the best way of putting it?)
  • Citations are missing from quotes on "Stillness" (perhaps from Stilling the Mind?) and on "The New Message from God" (cited, but may be incorrect). Both locations are flagged on the edit page. --Mary s 12:20, 16 December 2011 (PST)
  • The link for "Depression" on nm.org "online texts" page goes to wp page; that link needs to go to the wiki on Depression.--Mary s 11:27, 20 July 2013 (PDT)
  • Should we add the actual Steps from Steps to Knowledge in the Wiki? Each Step could have it's own page. The benefits are that this would be searchable by search engines (as opposed to the PDF file on the site), and might become a very handy reference for Steps students, when they don't have their book/PDF around. Thoughts? --Shawn 12:23, 21 August 2013 (PDT)

  • Wisdom from The Greater Community capitalization error (the Greater Community) --Mary s 11:27, 20 July 2013 (PDT)
  • Take the italics off all titles of Books of the New Message on every page you're working on, if and only if it isn't too much trouble (content trumps punctuation). --Mary s 11:27, 20 July 2013 (PDT)
This is done in the references and the "further study" sections, but there may still be italics to book references within the main body of pages. Shawn 13:35, 30 August 2013 (PDT)
  • Review A-Z for "white space" -- if there are more than 5 quotes on a page, organize them to help the reader navigate with headers that give the main idea, SEO if possible. --Mary s 11:27, 20 July 2013 (PDT)
  • Review for sufficiency -- some pages (for very particular ideas?) want every citation (but not duplicates if a simple "see also" gets the rest (Buddha, Christ, Muhammad--split them up among them); for others, maybe less is more? (at the moment we're going more for a somewhat exhaustive concordance approach) --Mary s 11:27, 20 July 2013 (PDT)
  • Fix all the orphaned pages by adding them to categories, adding internal links to them on other pages, and adding them to "See Also" sections as appropriate. --Shawn 12:20, 21 August 2013 (PDT)
  • The headers titled "Quotes" ("Long Quotes," "Short Quotes" and "Excerpts") are placeholders, waiting for more definition. Good headers organize the quotes by grouping together quotes with similar themes to help readers navigate the page. Ideally the order of themes (indicated by headers) would flow from the core NM teaching on a subject at the top down to more distinct or tangential but related concepts. Replace these "placeholder" headers with terms clearly naming the core ideas found in the quotes. Aim for simplicity and clarity. See "Editing the wiki" for generic sections for a page, which do tend to follow a certain order. "Excerpts" is preferred over "Quotes" and is o.k. to use, especially when there are only a few quotes on the page; if the page does have some thematic headers (topical, not categorical terms like "Directives"), you can still throw that generic "Excerpts" up there but better to call them "Other Excerpts" in that case. --Mary s 22:15, 10 September 2013 (PDT)
