The Great Waves of change are the converging crises facing humanity in the years and decades to come: climate change, resource depletion, economic, social and political upheaval.
Second only to humanity's emergence into the Greater Community, the Great Waves constitute the greatest threat humanity as a whole has ever faced. The dangers of the Great Waves of change are made worse by the Greater Darkness, which is the extraterrestrial Intervention exploiting humanity's weakness and fragmentation to gain control over humanity and Planet Earth.

Instead of fighting, you will have to find ways to provide enough food, water and energy for the people of the world. That will be the prevailing and dominating need of the future here on Earth." [2]

Only in the poorer nations is this greater reality ever present. In affluent nations, the affluence insulates you from the greater realities of life to a certain extent for a period of time.
