"Many people believe the Universe is a great empty place, and if life does exist, it is rare. Many people think that if humanity were to encounter another race of beings in the Universe, this race of beings would be inordinately interested in humanity and would want to help humanity and share their wisdom and technology with this young emerging race in the world. But, alas, the situation is very different."

"No one in the world is educated about the Greater Community. If you were, you would be responding very differently to the presence of foreign powers in your midst. This would become a worldwide focus, and the emphasis would be on establishing your own rules of engagement with whomever you are encountering now and will likely encounter in the future."

People feel they are very important in the universe and that others would naturally come here to help you and to give you what you wanted and needed. People think Contact is kind of a thrilling adventure, a holiday from the mundanity of human life. "Races from the Greater Community are already here, interfering in human affairs, seeking to establish themselves as centers of power and influence here, operating secretly behind the scenes, influencing people in positions of power, taking citizens against their will, functioning in ways that are highly dangerous and hazardous for the human family. Yet people go about life as if nothing is happening, consumed with their own needs, consumed with human conflict and corruption, consumed with the difficulties of life here in this one world, unaware and unconcerned about the presence of an Intervention here. And those few people who are aware of this presence are being persuaded to perceive it as beneficial, as benign and, in some cases, even representing salvation for the human family."

"No one else can live in your world. It is biologically too complex for them. They need you. They need your cooperation. They need you to submit to them, willingly. They need to erode your self-confidence so that you feel you cannot resist them. They will need you to deplete your resources so that you will become dependent upon them."

"The Intervention has studied human psychology and physiology and has devised a very potent form of persuasion. It has taken many people against their will and subjected them to cruel experiments and powerful forms of mind control. Many of these people now cannot think for themselves. Their minds have been overtaken. Their freedom has been taken from them. They are now like laboratory animals for the Intervention, used for reproductive purposes so the Intervention can create hybrid individuals to be in positions of power and influence in government, commerce and religion."

"The only way that you can advance, and the only way that you will be able to interpret, discern and contend with forces from the Greater Community is through the development of Knowledge. This is true because Knowledge is the only part of your mind that cannot be influenced or dominated. It is the only part of your mind that is pure. It cannot be infiltrated. It cannot be manipulated, either in the mental or in the physical environment. It is unaffected by technology. It is unaffected by the demonstrations of power. It is unaffected by the manipulations of fear. It is the only part of you that is free. Therefore, the more you associate with Knowledge and become united with Knowledge, the freer you will become, the more capable you will be in encountering new experiences and new forces in life and the more able you will be to discern your visitors' motives and activities beyond any appearance."

"Humanity is but leaving one stage of its development and entering another. It is a great transition from a world of tribal societies and warring factions to a more united and powerful humanity—a humanity that can live, function and remain free within a Greater Community of life, a humanity that can face Intervention from other races in the universe and can establish its own rules of engagement here, a united humanity that can learn to live within the boundaries and limited resources of this world without driving them into oblivion and decline."
